Review of Sex and Lucía (2001) by Elizabeth Z — 05 Apr 2008

Apparently this movie has a lot of sex in it. I'm not sure how I missed that. This is one of those movies that's less about plot then texture and nuance and rhythm and feeling and you're not supposed to notice all those pecadilloes with the plot tidy themselves up a little too neatly and for maximum impact.

But just remember that whatever happens there's this hole in the ground and when you fall in the story starts again in the middle but facing in a different direction. Would make an interesting double bill with Mullholland Drive.
