Review of Sex and Lucía (2001) by Alana K — 10 Sep 2008
I think that the first half of this movie was dedicated to testing the boundaries of what's considered "appropriate" film sex and what's verging on porn. It was interesting how the lives of these people were so interwoven, but some of the key scenes were oddly cryptic such that there was an entirely too long window in which I was not really sure what had happened, and I kind of lost interest.
Especially when I found out that what had happened was stupid. Ultimately, I didn't really care whether the woman couldn't cry or the girl found her father or the guy was hovering somewhere between fact and fiction.
There was no one I found who I could connect or identify with.
