Not without it's flaws, Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll is a good film with fine performances.
Serkis is unquestionably fantastic as Ian Dury and forces the audience to feel sympathy to a sometimes detestable character. The rest of the cast are also brilliant but sometimes are acting to an unengaging story. The film feels overlong at times and the ending is so forgettable I struggle to remember even now how it did.
A very good film nonetheless and shows just how under-rated Andy Serkis is.
