Review of Severance (2015) by Kevin P — 02 Oct 2010
Lowest of the highbrow, highest of the lowbrow. A clever comedy and a pretty grim horror. A great, varied cast make the most of some shallow but robust characterisation and a simple plot. Some great set pieces and surreal ideas.
Tim McInnerny is fantastic as the useless boss. Of all the post-'Shaun of the Dead' British horror-com (Lesbian Vampire Killers, Doghouse, The Cottage etc. etc.) this is by far the most original, and best.
