Review of Severance (2006) by Jamie N — 23 Apr 2009
I really should have paid more attention to it, but everything I did see was enjoyable and believable, and I spose its the mark of a good horror if you can dip into it and out of it easily. Decent cast, quite an unusually detailed plot (compared to Shrooms, for instance), and clearly a good sense of humour.
The pseudo-racist undertones were disappointing but not uncommon, and the plot was also argubaly a bit sexist, but for the average (western male) viewer this was hardly noticable.
Surprised I'd let this pass me by considering all the other Horrors I've seen. Definitely worth a watch if you're into Horrors; and if you've seen Scary Movie or Shaun Of The Dead you'll feel right at home.
