Review of Severance (2006) by Gary S — 12 Jun 2008
Brilliant horror comedy with some truly surprising moments. Not only does it provide some genuine scares, but it manages to turn your expectations on its ear throughout thanks to some masterful editing.
The black comedy is darkly hilarious and while gory, never has to resort to 'torture porn'. Some great dialogue and two scantily clad Eastern European hookers are the perfect addition to a pretty damned fine concoction of thrills, scares and laughs.
Also look out for the best prosthetic (severed) leg you could wish for.
