Review of Seventh Son (2014) by T24K R — 08 Feb 2015
While I find some of the acting surprisingly well, the film is a very sad reflection of how we continue to regurgitate old sexist stereotypes. The centuries-old narrative of female witches and male "crusaders," is reinvented here, with a few minor changes -- but nevertheless, ends with a resounding misogynistic fear of femininity.
If you want a film that does not require you to think and you are not bothered by classic sexist stereotypes, this film will satisfy.
