Nothing like the book at all! But a joy to watch Jeff Bridges as Master Gregory,(a spook whose job is to catch dark creatures and either put them in prison, or kill them.) and Julianne Moore as the evil witch Mother Malkin.
Ben Barnes is perfectly cast as Tom, the new spook's apprentice. The film is not boring, but it could've been a bigger hit if it stayed a little more true to the book. Great affects and good costume designs, but not strong writing.
Overall a fun film to see. My grade=80%(B).
