Review of Seven Years in Tibet (1997) by Robert D — 09 Jul 2010
Forgive the dodgy accents and you'll find a great story of adventure and culture. Based on the true childhood of the current Dalai Lama, it's pleasant to watch him and his relationship with Heinrich Harrer all within the great surroundings of Tibetan country and culture.
The real Dalai Lama's sister plays his mother in the film and even though it's not perfect by any means, I can't help but really appreciate the story.
