Review of Seven Years in Tibet (1997) by John M — 27 Jul 2010
The bad acting and haphazard story construction really mar what could have been a very meaningful epic. One of the poorest casting decisions I've ever seen with Brad Pitt as an Austrian. He is a very versatile actor, but even he couldn't save this film and the accent was awful.
Once the Dalai Lama became a more prominent character and started getting more into the Tibetian history, it got a little more interesting.
