Review of Seven Years in Tibet (1997) by Blackity B — 12 Sep 2010
This is, I believe, a vastly underrated movie. Yes, it has some issues when it comes to dealing with the truthful facts, but the beauty of the cinematography and the poignancy of the story are more than enough to carry it all the way to greatness. The 2nd act is indeed rather lacking in conflict, but that is made up for in the bloodshed of the third act. An important movie too for those unaware of anything about Tibet and their struggle for independence.
A solid B+.
