Review of Seven Swords (2005) by Toni R — 30 Aug 2006
This could have been a very good movie, but story felt choppy and character development lacked a bit with some of the characters. Other than that I really liked how "superpowers" of swordmen in wuxia were shown here. It reminded me kind of like how magic was shown in Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings, it looked more "realistic" and not exaggarated and ridicilous like in most of the wuxia films in recent years. And music was great, it fit the movie very well.
Tsui Hark give us the extended cut, please!
