Review of Seven Samurai (1954) by Ray H — 10 Sep 2010
I finally saw this frm start to finish. It has held up very well for an older film. The story & acting is compelling and held my interest. The actors were uniformly good. Some of the action scenes did not seem realistic; but that is forgivable, given the age of this flic. Audiences today would doubtless complain abt the repeated, similar raids on the village by the bandits. And, Americans would not be happy abt the length.
Definitely worth a look.
