A simple story marvellously realised - a small village enlists the help of seven samurai to defend it from bandits. A brilliant study of all the major characters who are all well-defined, as the film slowly & meticulously builds to the classic rain-soaked battle!!! Probably the most brilliantly directed epic ever.
