Review of Seven Samurai (1954) by Wesley H — 03 Mar 2011

This is easily my favorite film of all time. A true masterpiece and classic. Kurosawa really out did himself with this one producing a widely loved feudal Japan war epic. It is arguably one of the greatest films of all time, and influential to many films regardless of the genre. The story is quite long but entertaining with great plot twist and a wonderful finale. The acting was very emotional and touching at times from both the samurai and peasants. The battle scenes are stunningly organnized and realistic, you wont find any 10min sword fights here.

I would recommend this to anyone. 10/10.
