Amazing...this was my first Akira film but the characters vibrantly stand out (farmers and samurai) the differentiating story lines beautifully flow together, wether it be the veteran samurais perhaps preparing for a final battle, the samurai apprentance trying to reach the heights of his masters or the farmer orphan turned samurai the entire three or so hours flew bye with perhaps the most satisfying ending to a film I've seen in many a year.
