Review of Seven Pounds (2008) by Mary S — 15 Feb 2014
Well, first of all, he isn't an actual IRS agent, he is an engineer. He was impersonating his brother. His name is Tim. So the information is a bit off base. This isn't a romance, and anyone who actually thinks it is, is missing the WHOLE point.
The plot is complex and multifaceted. Whoever described this as a romance, was way off the mark and calling the plot illogical just illustrates a lack of critical thinking and depth of understanding. This us an incredibly well done movie, powerful and complex.
The romance in the film is only symbolic of what he actually gives Emily. If you can't see that, you need a Liberal education.
