Review of Seven Pounds (2008) by Jackb — 01 Feb 2009
This movie was muddled in parts. Maybe they didnt watch it back and threw it all together like I often do with a coursework im rushing to hand in. I saw the "twist" coming a long way before the end.
But despite all of this, ii came out of the cinema and I thought, "that was a great film." I havent been able to stop thinking about parts of it since. Will Smith excelled as always, and Woody Harrellson is making a name for himself playing terrific bit parts, I get the feeling theres a big role for him around the corner.
Its a very good idea and it was so sad. Im not too sure why its got so much bad press. Sure its "corny", it seems a lot of the press dont like that nowadays, but a lot of people still do. Id definitely recommend Seven Pounds to anyone.
