I actually found it quite entertaining, and solemnly profound. A lot of people will say it is manipulative because of what it boils down to at its conclusion, but I would argue the acts considered "manipulative" by some are indeed powerful works.
Ask yourself, would YOU do something like that for someone else. If it takes you longer than it takes to read this comment to answer, then I can understand why you wouldn't like this movie.
