Review of Seven Pounds (2008) by Jack G — 09 Jul 2011
Other than the slight disappointment I felt with the revelations towards the end (in their simplicity despite their seemingly and intriguingly complex nature in their initial allusions, and their predictability towards the end), it's a strong film.
Will Smith never wows completely, but there are several moments in which I could see his expression and completely understand what his character felt at that time; and the rest of the film he was decent too.
Rosario Dawson and the rest of the cast are all fine too, but the few scenes starring Woody Harrelson and Barry Pepper were just fantastic in their tragic elements - they needn't say much to convey the complete personality and history of their respective characters.
