Review of Seven Pounds (2008) by Ryan T — 15 Apr 2013
I can see why critics panned this and audiences largely liked it. It's designed to be sentimental drivel, but while critics will despise it because it panders to emotion like a Nicholas Sparks novel, the acting and pace of the film largely work, particularly the chemistry between Smith and Dawson.
The film is lucky to have cast the two of them.
