Review of Seven Days in Utopia (2011) by Tom S — 03 Sep 2011
I read the book a few years ago and was pleased to see that it was being made into a film. It was well done and followed the story well.
For those that think this is a story about golf, well it is to a degree, but it's much more than that. This is a story of a man's rebirth, about how he lost his way, had a twisted view of his purpose, and a misperception about what is important in life.
He works out his issues (finds his true game- the one that matters) in a little town in Utopia Texas over the course of 7 days. That true game is one that is focused on family, friends, and most importantly God.
It convicted me and prompted me to "bury many lies" that I have believed through life. Hopefully it will do the same for you.
The acting is good, the movie flows, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
