Review of Seven Days in May (1964) by Kartik K — 20 May 2017
John Frankenheimer is one of the best directors in history particularly when it comes to movies, both fiction and non-fiction related to politics. Frankeheimer's career started with the epic Manchurian Candidate and ended with Path to War a non-fictional account of LBJ's Administration and Vietnam.
Lots of great classics in-between but none better than this. This might be the only single movie I find nearly flawless, from the acting, to the plot, to the realistic futuristic features, to the underlying story.
This film is as close to perfection as movie's get and important in its message even today, more than 50 years later. A classic of epic proportions.
