Review of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (1954) by Rob H — 30 Mar 2008
Despite being a film very much as its time (rape and pillage your dames!), hell, it's all in good fun. the star of this show is definitely choreographer michael kidd; the barn raising DANCE WAR! and the mournful ballet "lonesome polecat"--pirouette with a pick ax!--are standouts in this high energy, and dare I say it? masculine musical.
