Review of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (1954) by Jonathan W — 16 Sep 2009
It starts out well enough... and then we get to the kidnappings.
If the girl you like doesn't like you back, just kidnap her, take her away from her home, and arrange an avalanche to remove all contact with the outside world. She'll come around before long. Stockholm's syndrome has never been so well endorsed.
How is it that so many women like this movie, and don't find it incredibly offensive?
