Review of Session 9 (2001) by Brendan S — 22 Jul 2009

I watched this movie on my computer with all the lights on and it still really creeped me out. The actual story and characters were pretty uninteresting but that was made up for by the incredible atmosphere.

The real life setting added so much and the pure simplicity of sitting and listening to tapes was absolutely brilliantly scary. The would-be conventional ending has an added level of nastiness which I didn't quite see coming and which elevates it slightly.
