I like horror movies that can give you the creeps without gore--it's a much more difficult task than slasher flicks. This movie is definitely one of those. An abestos cleaning crew is hired to clear the abandoned Danvers mental hospital in a tight time frame. As the small crew works long hours to get the job done, the creepy asylum slowly takes its effect on their psyches.

Much like The Shining, the setting is perhaps the most important character in the movie. The fact that it was filmed on location only adds to the eeriness that pervades each frame. The acting is sufficient but the directing is up and down. There are some shots that make your hair stand on end and there are some that look like they're out of a B movie. And the payoff at the end was fairly predictable.

But check this film out if you want a good example of psychological horror. It tries to go to a place where not many other movies go.
