"Session 9" throws a bunch of horror tropes against the wall -- evil children, restless spirits, a long tour of an abandoned mental institution, an even longer, ickier clump of exposition about the SRA craze in the 80's.
Some sticks, and pays off once you get through the slog of the first act... others fizzle and are notably disappointing. But it's creepy enough while it lasts, even if I can't respect it as a horror movie where all the pieces fit together coherently in the end.
