Review of Served Like a Girl (2017) by Kacie C — 12 Jun 2018
I laughed, I cried, and I got angry. This film may only been about the few women onscreen who has served in the military, but it's a story that resonates with nearly every woman who has ever served and understands the difficulties of coming back home.
As a veteran myself, I am thankful for this story, to show that we served too, and women in the military are badass, willing to step up and get the job done and still want to feel pretty and be taken seriously.
As a former homeless veteran, I appreciate that this film talks about the sad side of returning from service and what women often have to endure long after leaving.
