Serpico... The true story of a New York City Patrolman (Police Officer) caught between the pressures of his job and the pride of his conscience. Movie takes place in the 1950's, when Serpico graduates the Police Academy to his retirement in the 1970's.
All throughout his career Serpico is met with temptations brought by other Police Officers and Detectives to take money and bribes from criminals in exchange for preferable treatment. The movie is s historic example of the culture of Police Corruption, which still takes place today.
