The tale of a cop who won't be bribed, we start with the news that Serpico has been shot, and we roll back in time in order to lead up to that dramatic opening scene. For me it was more entertaining to watch Al Pacino gradually morph from a clean shaven new cop to a big hairy gypsy type.
