Review of Serpico (1973) by Lachlan D — 31 Oct 2013
Perfect. Serpico is a film that steers well clear from predictable story telling, over done cliches and annoyingly happy endings. Lumet manages to communicate a great sense of realism which makes this film refreshing even buy today's standards.
It's also great from a technical aspect. Good locations, cinematography, camerawork, sound design, production design and acting, in particular a stellar performance from Al Pacino.
