Review of Sergeant York (1941) by David T — 09 May 2008
Doesn't follow history to a T (when does Hollywood ever do that?) but does an admirable job of showing what the real Alvin C. York did during World War I. Gary Cooper is at his all-time best playing the hillybilly war hero.
Still a classic after all these years and a testament to good, sound filmmaking.
