Review of Sergeant York (1941) by Robert P — 26 Dec 2008
Being a great fan of Cooper, I'll forgive the film's protracted running time. 15 or 20 minutes could have been shaved off and still would have told an inspiring story of commitment, change and redemption.
Cooper is tad old to play York but manages to project innocence and strength in the role which won him his first Oscar.
