Best WWI movie of all time. Gary Cooper is brilliant as hellbent Alvin who hesitantly becomes hero Sgt. York. Walter Brennan is fantastic as the old time preacher who helps young York "find religion.
" Movie gives you a really good look at back woods Appalachia before the Old USof A was "on the map.".
