Don't go to this movie based on what you've seen in the previews as the actual story of the film is much different and ever so dumb. It would be bad enough if the movie simply squandered the promise of the trailers, which tried to lure audiences into a story about a moral dilemma--kill the abusive spouse of a sexy ex for an enormous amount of money or refuse to answer a wrong with an even greater wrong? The film maddeningly compounded the failure by raising and abandoning what would have been an excellent avenue for a twist, specifically Hathaway encouraging the injuries via consensual rough sex games and then using the marks as proof of abuse to con her ex into killing her husband.

That could have been The Last Seduction level deviousness. We're instead left with something ridiculous which somehow drags on for about 20 minutes.
