Review of Serenity (2015) by Sam P — 11 Apr 2012

I watched Serenity the other day. And in one word: awesome. I had already loved the series, and was worried how the film would compare, but in actual fact, it compared wonderfully. Everything that made Firefly work was brought back, the use of humour, action, character traits.

However, there is a problem. I wish the movie had never happened. I wish that, because, it was the final nail in the tv shows coffin. I really believe that the film, would have been so much better in a tv show, more character development, more continuity jokes, more action.

But, as a film, still brilliant and enjoyable.
