I'd forgotten quite how much I like this film. It's like 'Han Solo - The early years.' If the Star Wars franchise had been given to a decent director. Its totally enjoyable Sci-fi, a Western knockabout with actual rounded characters, space zombies, galactic empire assassins and just the right amount of tongue-in-cheek self awareness to let you know it's enjoying the epic fun of it.
I've never seen a climactic quickdraw done so well yet get so underplayed. I really should watch the TV series.
