While Firefly is immensely better than Serenity, this final chapter in the phenomenal space western ends the saga on a bittersweet but hopeful note, managing to tie up most loose ends, answer most of the burning questions, and hit just about every note it needs to.

While newcomers are sure to leave with a "meh" feeling, Serenity is a rousing success for fans of Firefly.
