It would have made an excellent Final Fantasy-like video game, with the usual stock characters, weak attempts at humor, average acting at best, clumsy dialogues and the unavoidable plot dumps. As a movie, however, it feels like a bunch of amateurs with a decent special effects budget tried to piece together parts from Star Wars, The Matrix, anime and zombie movies.
