Who would have thought two irishmen could pull off an american western? This was great cinema in my opinion!
The only reason I didn't give this movie 5 stars is that I'm female, therefore I craved more back story as to how it got to the point where the movie begins.
In the last third of the movie, you finally get to see the reason for the animosity that leads Liam Neeson to hunt down Pierce Brosnan and it makes perfect sense! But there are other little bits that are like crumbs of information/back story for Pierce Brosnan's character that never flesh out so you're really not sure what drives him.
This is kind of a guy movie in that it's almost entirely action with VERY little background and no romance/love scenes whatsoever. But I still really liked it!!! My husband did as well ~.
If you're looking for a movie that fires nothing more than the vengeance and adrenaline receptors in your brain, this will probably be just the ticket for you. Enjoy!!!
