Review of Seraphim Falls (2007) by Ryan N — 10 Nov 2007
Really beautifully shot, well-acted, but strange. Starts off as a really gritty survivalist tale, gradually becomes a surreal morality play, and fizzles with a rather anticlimactic ending. I think it was trying to say something about forgiveness.
All in all, a good movie, but not a masterpiece. Major points for cinematographer John Toll.
