Awful western that's essentially a 100-minute chase scene, with an ending that defies explanation. Hampered by dull story-telling, illogical decisions by the main characters, and, most notably, atrocious dialogue.

While the movie tries to be one of the modern "gritty" westerns, the campy dialogue consistently torpedoes the mood. Neeson's character is particular stricken, saying (for instance) "your'n" at least a half-dozen times, and, in attempting to stop his henchman from committing a rape, declares, "Mr.

Pope, I ain't payin' you to mess with women-folk!" Yikes. Also, big "D-minus" to both Neeson and Brosnan for failing to master the requisite accents. It's hard to be a tough hombre when you sound like a lilting fop.
