Review of September Dawn (2007) by Cherie K — 14 Jul 2007
I enjoyed this movie. It was emotionally intense so be prepared for that. I felt the storytelling was powerful and dealt with a topic (religious fanaticism) that we can all relate to today. Also, I don't feel that the movie was made to bash mormons.
I hadn't heard of the Mountain Meadows Massacre before I saw the movie, but if you want more information read The Life and Confessions of John D. Lee or The Mountain Meadows Massacre by Josiah F. Gibbs.
