Review of Seoul Station (2016) by Ming Siu G — 03 Oct 2016
Once you know this was made before Train to Busan, it's clear that the later movie was a sellout in more ways than one. Here, while the horror and action is lean and mean, the social critique is far more pointed, and the worldview very much more bleak.
This feels like a strong directorial statement, and Train feels like too many cooks spoiling the broth.
