Review of Sense and Sensibility (1995) by Lady Of The Minnesota Mounts — 18 Feb 2009
Diddiddiiiii... Jane Austin filmations... This is pretty much as good as one-night-long-movie you can get out of Austen's books, but the stories truly shine only in series, I think... BBC's Pride and Prejudice <3 And I had just watched 2008's BBC Sense and Sensibility 3-piece serie, it was very good indeed and I kept comparing all the time! I liked the Dashwoods in the serie far more but all the man in this movie, oh my! ALAN RICKMAN, who could be more perfect general Brandon?! Hugh Grant was again an ankward English man, which he seems to do the best.
And Hugh Laurie on the backround was a great surprise :D So, I loved the actors but I was a little disappointed with Ang Lee. Not very interesting directing.
