Review of Sense and Sensibility (1995) by Mimi B — 12 Jul 2009
Spectacular!
Kate Winslet and Emma Thompson, as soon as they were first seen, used the best acting in the books. So intriguing and dramatic that the audience is sure to enjoy every minute of it!
The rest of the cast was incredible; Alan Rickman, Hugh Grant, Hugh Laurie, etc..
Directing wasn't bad at all, yet nothing to rave on about. The music was again better than average, yet nothing compared to John Williams or Hans Zimmer. It set the mood, which was all intended I'm sure, but perhaps a little to hidden, at times.
Definately a movie I'd see again. Very interesting plot, please note that I have not read Jane Austen's book yet, so I would like to read that soon.
