Review of Sense and Sensibility (1995) by Ray J — 31 Aug 2009
Aside from Hugh Grant being just naturally comical and therefore boss as shit, boring all around and every which way to Sunday. Normally I'm quite a fan of period pieces, as long as they're done realistically, which is of utmost importance to a period piece, and not too abstractly.
Hugh Laurie's character's got it right when he tells his boring-as-shit wife to just stop, except that he should have extended that wish to Emma Thompson as well as every other actress in the film, given that their gossip would make even the hardiest male soul want to commit prolonged Seppuku rather than listen to more of their trite drivel.
