The film is very intriguing and pulls the viewer in, only to leave them questioning the entire story. It combines the suspense and thrill of American Horror Story with the mystery and eeriness of The Returned. This can especially be seen in the beautiful scenery of the film and the way it is portrayed with music, lighting, camera angles, and motion.

By introducing the "sennentuntschi", who is never named, as an innocent, naive, and childish woman, her violence and murders appear to be only reactionary. Some murders strongly support this notion, others do not, and by the end the viewer is left to ponder the sennentuntschi's motives, or if she is a sennentuntschi at all.

The plot branches off with many potential endings, but the film ends with no definitive explanation. The viewer is left to decide what truly happened in the Grison Alps.
