Review of Senna (2010) by Eric R — 18 Sep 2011
A fantastic documentary that chronicles the rise and fall, of Senna, a three time world champion of the Grand Prix. The film only uses existing footage to chronicle his life to great affect. Senna quested for perfection and his no fear driving style helped cement his legacy.
Really giving the viewer an inside view into Senna the man, we learn a great deal about his spirituality and mindset which made him the grand prix legend. You don't have to know anything about F1 racing.
This is a helluva a good story with ups and downs and in the end tragedy in which I found myself emotionally invested in this man. Not using any talking heads, the film doesn't waste a single frame in telling this story.
Highly recommended for anyone who loves a good documentary.
